Tropitone Expands Cast Aluminum Table Collection While Also Adding Swivel Action Loungers To Several Of Its Seating Collections
Irvine, Calif., September 17, 2007 – Tropitone Furniture Co., a leading manufacturer of fine casual furniture, announced today that it is significantly expanding its cast aluminum table collection to include a variety of new sizes while it is also adding a swivel action lounger to several of its most popular seating collections.
According to Michael Echolds, chief executive officer of Tropitone, this broader selection of table sizes in Tropitone’s cast aluminum collection as well as the introduction of the swivel action lounger to several of its seating groups is aimed at offering consumers more choices as they create a variety of dining and entertaining spaces in their outdoor rooms.
“Today, outdoor dining is only one of the many uses of our outdoor living spaces. And while the traditional summer backyard barbecue will always be a favorite, the trend is toward more elegant outdoor dining experiences and entertaining a greater number of guests who gather for cocktails before dinner and linger to chat informally afterwards. These expanded socializing experiences in the outdoor room setting create the need for a greater variety of sizes for dining tables as well as accessory and bar height tables.
“Our new cast aluminum tables include sizes that range from a 22-inch tea table to a 42-inch bar height table and a 120-inch double pedestal oval dining table. Altogether 17 new cast aluminum tables are available -- some in a traditional design and others with a more contemporary look,” Echolds said.
Tropitone manufactures its cast aluminum collection, including these additional tables, with a high-quality aluminum alloy that is stronger than the alloys used by many other manufacturers of cast aluminum furniture. Over the years, Echolds said, outdoor seating has evolved from stationary furniture to seating that glides, rocks and swivels as consumers expect their outdoor furniture to provide the same level of comfort as their indoor seating.
