Fire pits and fire tables are designed and intended for outdoor use only. Never install or operate the fire pit or fire table indoors. Operating a fire pit or fire table indoors will result in a very dangerous condition.

    Frames

Regularly inspect and tighten all hardware to avoid loosening which can lead to hardware failure and product breakage. Replace missing hardware immediately (remove product from service until repaired).

    Painted Finishes

Painted finishes are used on aluminum and cast aluminum Fire Pits and Fire Tables. Periodically clean the finish with a sponge or soft bristle brush using a cleaning solution with 1/4 cup (2 oz.) mild liquid soap in a gallon of lukewarm water (100° F / 38° C). Rinse thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. For gloss finishes, we recommend periodic waxing of the frame with a high grade automotive paste wax or the use of a commercially available protectant to help maintain and/or restore the luster of the finish. Protectants can be purchased at most casual furniture retailers.

Do not apply any cleaners or waxes when the Fire Pit or Fire Table is in use.  Allow to fully cool before cleaning or waxing the product.  Be sure the Fire Pit or Fire Table is fully dry before turning it on.

Caution: In seaside use, salt can accumulate on the finish, leading to finish failure. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water will remove the concentrated deposits and protect the product finish per the above instructions.

    Fire Media

The Fire Media that Tropitone® offers is heat resistant glass that is specifically manufactured for use with gas fire pits or fire tables.  Other variations of Fire Media, such as lava rock and lava stone, that are specifically manufactured for use with gas fire pits and fire tables may be used.

When placing Fire Pit Media in to the Burner Tray, it must be distributed evenly ensuring that the Blow Out Box or Pilot Opening is not covered. The Fire Media must not obstruct the flow of gas from the Burner Holes.  Please refer to the Fire Pit Installation Instructions for additional information.

The best flame results can be achieved with minimal or no coverage of the main Burner flame holes.

Glass Fire Media may be cleaned by carefully removing the media from the Fire Pit or Fire Table and rinsing it with water or a solution of 50% water and 50% vinegar.  After allowing the Fire Media to fully drain, place the Media back in to the Burner Tray.  Any Fire Pit Media that has become extremely dirty should be thrown away and replaced with new Media.
